Cape Town – A Cape Town retail worker has joined the list of South Africa’s multimillionaires after winning Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 jackpot.
The winner bagged a whopping R25 564 050. 40, said the National Lottery Ithuba.
The winner chose his number manually and found out through the internet that he was the lucky winner, said Ithuba.
The man said he had “always had a feeling” that he would win one of the lottery jackpots someday.
Ithuba said the man planned to continue working and pay off his debt. He also wants to buy property.
He had no plans to tell anyone of his new found fortune.

Ithuba announced the first Lotto jackpot winner of the year as a helper from the Western Cape who walked away with the Lotto jackpot of R5 433 073 30 from the January 14 draw.
The winner said she had shared her news with her daughter.
“I was so excited when I found out that I won, I screamed,” said the winner.
She planned to buy a bigger house.
“We congratulate the first Lotto and Lotto Plus 1 multimillionaires for the year,” said Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza.
A team of financial advisers were on standby to offer advice to all winner of R50 00 and above, said Ithuba.
