Cape Town — President Cyril Ramaphosa has come under intense scrutiny after he was spotted attending a cattle auction dinner at his Phala Phala farm on Friday night, after postponing the announcement of his new Cabinet on Thursday due to ill health.
Ramaphosa has reportedly been unwell since Monday.
However, photos emerged of the president reportedly hosting a dinner at his farm in Limpopo.
“A great honour and priviledge meeting H.E @CyrilRamaphosa and his family at dinner hosted at his Phala Phala Farm. I thanked him and H.E @KagutaMuseveni promoting the Ankole cattle to greater heights and I extended invitation to the Ankole cattle society of SA 2 visit Uganda,” wrote Advocate and Member of Parliament for Nyabushozi County, Wilson Kajwengye.

Mbalula confirmed the president’s ill health in a media address on Friday and urged patience from South Africans.
“The president in the Cabinet meeting the other day (during) the state visit I think he did catch some flu and I was there. In terms of what happens about it and how that is linked to the Cabinet reshuffle I don’t know,” Mbalula said.
Meanwhile, the DA’s Dean Macpherson said that Ramaphosa has become immune to criticism.
“This “flu” saga playing out with Cyril Ramaphosa is really just another day for him. Like Zuma, he has become immune to criticism, ridicule or accountability. The ANC will defend him instead of asking why he lied about being sick & then hosting a dinner for cattle farmers.”
