Cape Town – A security company, G4S Cash Solutions, is reportedly offering a R1 million reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of criminals who shot and killed one of its guards during a cash-in-transit heist at the Engen Middlevlei station, Gauteng on Monday.
According to News24, the company’s security guards were collecting cash at a filling station when they were attacked by men who were driving in a blue Mercedes-Benz, a white BMW and a Mazda BT-50 double cab.
The suspects rammed into the cash van, causing it to come to a halt. They proceeded and shot dead one of the security guards.
The other two bodyguards were ordered to lie down and robbed of their service pistols.
