Cape Town – A Congolese national arrested in connection with the Zanzou nightclub assault case in Pretoria has been granted R10,000 bail.
He was arrested in March after videos surfaced showing young men being sexually violated by bouncers at the club.
The State opposed bail, arguing he was a flight risk since he entered South Africa without valid travel documents and only applied for asylum afterward.
