Cape Town – The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is set to host an exclusive gala dinner at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg on July 27, ahead of its 10th birthday celebration at FNB Stadium on July 29.
EFF’s advocate Dali Mpofu shared a seating chart on social media, which showed that it will cost R1.2 million to secure a seat and rub shoulders with the party leader Julius Malema.
This is the same price that business leaders paid to share a table with President Cyril Ramaphosa during the ANC’s national conference in December.
“PLEASE HELP us identify progressive black or transformation minded companies & people willing to finance peaceful, democratic & RADICAL CHANGE in the SAn economic landscape…not necessarily as EFF members/supporters,” Mpofu captioned the post.
There are six table options, starting from bronze at R250 000, silver at R500 000, three gold tables at R750 000 each and finally the platinum table hosted by Malema, at R1.2m.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal, welcome drinks with the party’s officials and branding opportunities at the venue.

The party on Monday shared a recorded video of Malema asking for donations from “peace-loving South Africans and revolutionaries from the African continent and the diaspora”.
“Our organisation will be celebrating ten years of unbroken struggle, ten years of anti-corruption, ten years of fighting racism, ten years of being in the forefront of the land, ten years of making sure that the African people are represented without fear or favour, ten years of ensuring that black professionals are not looked down upon but rather are respected and treated as their counterparts.
“We need resources to finance this organisation. Withlout resources, this organisation will not succeed.
“It depends on genuine donations and contributions from peace-loving South Africans and revolutionaries from the African continent and the diaspora.
“We call upon all of you to make donations to the EFF because we must finance our own revolution; if we don’t finance our own revolution, counterrevolutionaries will hijack it,” said Malema.

The EFF also shared another video of the party’s treasurer-general Omphile Maotwe also appealing for donations.
In the clip, Maotwe praised the EFF’s successes over the past 10 years and claimed the party was “the only shield in defence of the lives of our people on the continent and the diaspora”.
“The gains and the achievements of the EFF have touched the lives of our people in all spheres of society after they have been betrayed by the liberation movement.
“We all now have a place to call home, and that is the EFF … celebrate 10 years of the EFF by donating a cow, vegetables, groceries, T-shirts, buses, and anything within your means to express how over the past 10 years the EFF has touched your lives,” said Motwe.
