Cape Town – A 33-year-old man was arrested on Monday, January 20, 2025, during an intelligence-driven operation in Kraaifontein, leading to the recovery of stolen vehicles and vehicle parts.
Police from the City of Cape Town District, acting on information about a suspected storage facility for stolen and hijacked vehicles, secured the area and conducted a thorough inspection of the premises.
During the operation, officers confiscated a Toyota Hilux LDV reported stolen in Muizenberg and a Nissan double cab stolen in Kleinvlei.

‘The persistence of the police members led them to another shack, used as a storage facility, where they found vehicle parts of a Toyota Yaris and a VW Polo.’
‘The mentioned vehicles were confiscated including a number of vehicle registration documentation found inside the dwelling. The members subsequently arrested a 33-year-old man for the possession of presumed stolen property,’ police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi.
The man is expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ Court once charges are formally laid.
