Cape Town – Police in Mpumalanga reportedly arrested a man following the brutal murder of a woman and her three children in Mkhondo Mpumalanga on Friday.
The 47-year-old woman and her children were hacked to death at their Phola Park, Thandukukhanya, Piet Retief, police said.
According to Mpumalanga’s acting MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Speedy Mashilo, the suspect is expected to appear in the Mkhondo Magistrate’s Court on Monday, reported News24.
Mashilo applauded police for the swift arrest adding that the police efforts will ensure that justice is served, the report said.
The gruesome discovery was made by the police on Friday night after family members laid a complaint with the police that they had been unable to get hold of them despite several attempts to call them.
