Cape Town – KwaZulu-Natal police reportedly arrested a woman, 21, on Thursday after she allegedly kidnapped and threw a four-year-old child into a river.
According to IOL, a bystander noticed a 4-year-old that was walking alone, wet and full of mud.
The bystander took it upon herself to investigate the matter.
“On questioning the child, she found out the child was abducted by a known suspect who threw her into the river.

“Police were called and the suspect was later arrested,” the report quoted police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala as saying.
The South African reported that paramedics were called to examine the child. The child was found to be in a stable condition.
The matter was then handed over to social services.
The suspect appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on charges of kidnapping and attempted murder.
