Cape Town – Two cable thieves were arrested while allegedly stealing cables on a busy road in Durban on Tuesday afternoon.
A statement by eThekwini municipality said a municipal official notified metro police when he saw the suspects committing the crime.
The pair was arrested by Durban metro police on Margaret Mncadi Avenue within 10 minutes of the report being made.
They were found with tools used to remove cables such as scissors, pliers, knives, blades and rubber gloves.
