Kwazulu-Natal – Newly-born puppies were rescued by emergency services after they fell into a storm water drain on Sunday.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) managed to rescue the puppies from the drain they found themselves trapped in.
According to RUSA, the puppies were stuck 2 metres deep.
“The owner of the canine contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 17:39 after their dog gave birth and her litter fell approximately 2 metres into the drain.
“Reaction Officers removed the cover, climbed down the shaft and rescued five puppies.”
RUSA reported that the puppies sustained no injuries.
