Cape Town – A BMW driver is lucky to be alive after the vehicle he was driving collided with a light pole and got cut in half on the N2 north-bound near King Shaka International Airport in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday.
A report by Medi Response said the driver escaped with minor injuries.
“A single vehicle lost control and rolled multiple times before hitting a light pole and splitting in two.
“The driver and single occupant of the vehicle was fortunate to escape with minor injuries,” the report said.
Social media users reacted to the pictures of the accident, saying the driver was lucky to be alive judging by the extent of the damage to the vehicle while some alleged that the driver must have been speeding.
“He’s lucky to be alive, if it was me I’ll be torn apart in pieces as I know I have a huge bad luck.” wrote Sabelo Beans Sheba Na while Caiveen Luchelle said : “This guy was over speeding he must be arrested for negligence driving.”
