Cape Town — The three suspects charged with the the money theft at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm, were back in court on Friday.
Imanuwela David and siblings Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph returned to the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Friday where the Limpopo spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, said the matter was postponed to April, IOL reported.
“The accused in the Phala Phala matter has been postponed to April 26 2024 for further investigations. The State requested postponement to finalise outstanding investigations which involves assistance of the third parties like cellphones records and video footage,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.
The NPA said it will be seeking the extradition of two more suspects from neighbouring Namibia. The three arrested suspects are South African citizens of Namibian origin.

“We will request extradition from Namibia in order to get two more suspects,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.
The trio charged with stealing more than $580 000 from Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm in Limpopo, back in 2020. The trio was arrested in 2023 and charged with theft, housebreaking, and conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal, EWN reported.
Floriana and Ndilinasho are currently out on bail of R5,000 and R10,000, respectively, while David, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the crime, has been denied bail as police have been unable to confirm his address. He was also listed as a flight risk.
