Cape Town – A passenger at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport suffered a fatal medical emergency in the domestic Bidvest lounge over the weekend.
The incident took place on a Saturday morning as the passenger was waiting to board a flight to George in the Western Cape, Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) said, according to Times Live.
The exact cause of death has not been determined yet.
“It has been reported that the passenger suffered a medical emergency while waiting to board a flight to George, in the Western Cape, shortly before noon. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Further details will be released as they become available.
“ACSA would like to express its condolences to the passenger’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” The Citizen quoted Busie Gcali, Media Manager at ACSA as saying.
