Cape Town – Singer and dancer Zandile Khumalo, maintains her assertion that the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana skipper Senzo Myeni was fatally shot by intruders during an alleged botched robbery at her mother’s house in Vosloorus, Johannesburg, in 2014.
Khumalo, the sister of Meyiwa’s then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, identified one of the accused, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, as one of the intruders, The Citizen reported.
However, the defence lawyers have challenged her testimony, suggesting that Meyiwa was shot by the occupants of the house.
In her defence, Khumalo denies any plan to protect her boyfriend at the time or to conceal the truth about the incident.
She challenges the defence to provide evidence to support their allegations, reiterating that intruders were responsible for Meyiwa’s death.
The State witness in the #SenzoMeyiwa murder trial Zandile Khumalo has wrapped up her testimony. Khumalo maintains her version of events of the fateful night, including the suspects’ physical appearance. #Newzroom405‘s @LindA_MniSii has more.

“No one among us killed Senzo, there were intruders who came into the house.
“And also, if they believe that, I like that they must come with the proof to show that there were no intruders on that day,” she said.
She added: “I would like to know which time did we come together to come up with that conspiracy theory… We went to hospital and when I came back to the house, there were police officers.
“So, when did we sit down and come up with this conspiracy theory? The police are very smart and by now they would have been able to pick up if we were lying.”
According to News24, Advocate Zandile Mshololo revealed on Monday that revealed that all the people who were in the house the day the soccer star was shot and killed remained suspects in his death.

Mshololo dropped this bombshell while cross-examining Khumalo, asking her if she was aware that she was a suspect in Meyiwa’s murder.
Mshololo is the lawyer for accused number five, Fisokuhle Ntuli.
Ntuli, Bongani Ntanzi, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Mthobisi Mncube and Mthokoziseni Maphisa are facing charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.
The trial is ongoing, and the state has called its next witness, a neighbour of the Khumalos named Khaya Ngcatshe.
