Cape Town – Dr Nandipha Magudumana has filed an assault case against the correctional services department, according to police reports.
Magudumana claims she was assaulted while at the Kroonstad facility where she is currently being held, and she is currently receiving medical care in the facility’s hospital wing.
According to Times Live, Free State police have confirmed the registration of a common assault case at the Parkweg police station, and the matter will be transferred to Kroonstad detective services for investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time.
In addition to this incident, Magudumana’s recent court appearance in a case involving her and others, including her lover Thabo Bester, a rapist and murderer, was delayed due to her alleged “collapse” in the police holding cells.
Her lawyer said that she was declared unwell on Tuesday, yet she was brought to Bloemfontein from the Kroonstad correctional facility against her wishes.
