Cape Town – Former International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor has been appointed as the new board chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, succeeding Professor Njabulo Ndebele, who has retired after over a decade in the role.
Ndebele, who served on the board for 25 years, expressed confidence in Pandor’s leadership abilities as the foundation prepares for its next phase.
“Dr Pandor offers the Foundation just what it needs for the next phase of its development. I wish her every success,” Ndebele said

He said that it was time for him to step aside for fresh leadership as he embarks on a new chapter in his life.
Pandor will officially take on her role starting October 1, 2024.
