Cape Town — The MTN board has expressed its full support for CEO Ralph Mupita following an independent investigation that found no evidence of improper conduct by him or any other executive.
According to TimesLIVE, there were reports alleging that Mupita showed favouritism towards certain executives, leading to dissatisfaction over his perceived lack of accountability and fairness in leadership.
Central to these concerns was Mupita’s alleged close relationship with a senior female executive, whose identity remained undisclosed. Allegations suggested that he may have offered preferential treatment and attempted to unlawfully delegate some executive responsibilities to her, the report said.
In response to these allegations, MTN issued a statement confirming that it had convened a meeting to review a report prepared by an independent law firm, which investigated the claims against Mupita.
