Cape Town – A Mpumalanga man was reportedly remanded in custody last week after he was arrested for allegedly killing his 68-year-old grandmother Susanna Kilmister on February 28.
According to IOL, Jay Peters had a heated argument with Kilmister.
The argument led to Peters assaulting Kilmister until she died.
He was arrested on the same day.

“During his first [court] appearance on Thursday, the accused elected to conduct his defence and, today (Thursday), he changed his mind and elected to use the services of Legal Aid South Africa,” the report quoted National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Mpumalanga provincial spokesperson Monica Nyuswa as saying.
The South African reported that Peters is facing charges of murder, malicious damage to property and defeating the ends of justice.
