Cape Town – Annemarie Pretorius, of Boksburg, Gauteng reportedly watched helplessly as her son Michael, 9, was flung into the air after being hit by a car just metres from their home this past Saturday.

On Sunday, the family and the community members showed their support by placing flowers and a wooden cross near where the incident occurred.
“We are very grateful for everyone’s help and support; we don’t even know some of the people helping us,” the report quoted Annemarie as saying.
A case of culpable homicide is currently being investigated, the report said.
