Cape Town – The search for a 54-year-old Durban woman, Sharon Govender, has ended after she was found dead, with injuries suffered from a car crash, a report said.
“The family have located the missing person at a hospital,” Times Live quoted Missing Children SA, a non-governmental organisation, as saying.
It was understood that Govender was involved in a car crash, the report said.
Details of the accident remained unknown.
Missing Children SA said in a Facebook post that it was saddened by the passing of Govender.
“It is with great sadness to announce that Sharon Govender has been found deceased. Our sincere condolences to her family and friends. Thank you to Berea SAPS and everyone that shared her flyer,” Missing Children SA wrote.
The NGO had circulated a post on Facebook last week on Tuesday appealing for assistance in searching for Govender.
It said at the time that Govender had been last seen at the Caltex Garage at the Cowie Centre in Mkhize road in Durban and she was in her Hyundai Accent.
