Cape Town – The body of a 15-year-old girl who went missing at Llandudno beach was reportedly found floating with a group of dolphins on Saturday.
The teenager was with friends when she allegedly slipped on the rocks and fell into the sea on Friday, said the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
She was swept away by a rip current, and the NSRI team was activated around 18:00 on Friday.
“On arrival on the scene a sea and shoreline search commenced including lifeguards and rescue swimmers conducting sweeping line free dive search efforts,” reported the NSRI.

The report said a police dive unit also assisted with free dive sea efforts, however, the missing girl could not be found.
TimesLive reported that on Saturday the NSRI continued their search efforts before her body was found floating offshore.
“The body of the teenager was located floating on the water surface accompanied by a pod of dolphins near to the rescue craft,” said NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon.
The report said that the teen’s body was retrieved and handed over to state pathology services.
