Tong had been dating her boyfriend, “Jack,” for a week, and she felt unwell after swimming in the apartment’s pool.
Her death was confirmed after an autopsy, and police do not suspect her boyfriend of involvement.
Concerns about Tong’s whereabouts arose on October 7 when she failed to return to work after the Pchum Ben holidays, Kiri Post reported.
Social media posts seeking information about the 26-year-old went viral that day, the reort said.
However, later that evening, her friends confirmed on Facebook that her body had been found on September 30.
Her body is being held at Steung Mean Chey pagoda, awaiting collection by her relatives.
