Cape Town – Mpumalanga police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of the body of a missing man on Tuesday.
Police exhumed the 27-year-old man’s body from a shallow grave at a yard in Kabokweni, police said in a statement.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli said Lindelani Thabethe was last seen on Sunday, September 25.
A search was conducted at a house after police received a tip-off about a shallow grave.

“According to the information, the man was last seen with a friend on Sunday, 25 September, 2022. Since then, the man’s whereabouts were unknown. However, information surfaced that there was a shallow grave in the yard at a certain house in Kabokweni,
“Police as well as the rescue team went to the said house and upon searching, they spotted the shallow grave. After the body was exhumed, the family identified the victim as Mr Lindelani Thabethe,” said Mdhluli.
Mdhluli said no arrests had been made but police were following some leads that could lead to possible arrests.
