Cape Town – A missing KwaZulu-Natal man, 65, was reportedly found dead in a sugar cane plantation with his three dogs guarding his body on Sunday.
His body was discovered on the side of an unpaved road in Tongaat just after 07:00 by a passer-by.
According to IOL, the man went missing on Saturday after he allegedly left with his neighbour to hunt small game on the sugar cane plantation.
The deceased took his three dogs along.

“They split up during the hunt. However, the elderly male and his three dogs failed to return to his vehicle,” said Prem Balram from Reaction Unit SA as quoted by the report.
His neighbour reportedly walked back to his residence and informed his family who launched a search party, The South African reported.
“The man’s lifeless body was discovered on the side of an unpaved road… His three dogs remained with his body,” the report quoted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) as saying.
The cause of his death remained unknown.
