Cape Town – A man was airlifted to a specialist facility after he was electrocuted while working on a high-rise billboard in Pretoria on Wednesday.
According to Emer-G-Med, paramedics who responded to the incident at Silver Lakes Area, the man suffered critical burns following the electric shock.
It is alleged the man was on the high-rise billboard when he made contact with high-voltage cables.
“The man suffered critical burns and a decision was made to airlift him to a specialist facility for the definitive care that he required,” Emer-G-Med said.

In a separate incident, another man was airlifted to a specialist facility following an industrial accident in the Prospecton area south of Durban.
Emer-G-Med paramedics said the man sustained serious injuries.
