Cape Town – A 36-year-old Zimbabwean national Prince Ncube was reportedly sentenced to 15 years by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court this week after he was found guilty of business robbery.
According to IOL, in November 2019, Ncube and his two accomplices entered one of the Pep Stores in Gauteng, pretending to be customers.
Upon entering the store Ncube pointed a firearm at a security guard at the entrance whilst his accomplices took an undisclosed amount of money from the tills.

A customer alerted the police of the incident.
“A chase ensued and he (Ncube) was apprehended at the corner of President and Loveday streets. A toy gun was recovered from him. Two of his accomplices are still at large with the money taken from the store,” the report quoted Captain Xoli Mbele as saying.
Daily Voice reported that Mbele commended the police for their work.
“We hope this sentence will scare away would-be offenders from committing the same crime,” said Mbele as quoted by the report.
