Cape Town – Kevin George Edwin Mulligan, 65, was reportedly found guilty by the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Monday of being in possession of and distributing thousands of images and videos of child pornography.
According to News24, Mulligan had been involved in this since 2012.
He used GigaTribe, a peer-to-peer file-sharing network to collect and share child pornography with other paedophiles, the report said.
Mulligan was arrested at his home on July 11, 2017, following a tip-off from the Belgium police.

The report said that between May 2012 and July 2017, Mulligan was found in possession of around 6 830 images and videos of child pornography.
Mulligan pleaded guilty to 186 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography.
He was expected to be back in court on June 11 for sentencing, said the report.
