Cape Town – A 32-year-old man, Thabang Chauke, was reportedly caught by police while hiding in a ceiling at the Hercules police station in Pretoria this past weekend.
According to Times Live, officers on duty heard strange noises and noticed some movement in the ceiling. They went to look into it and found Chauke.
It remained unclear how he got into the ceiling or how long he stayed there.
Chauke was found with a screwdriver, a laptop, and a cellphone when he was apprehended.

Chauke is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
In a separate incident, the Anti-Gang Unit discovered a 28-year-old man from Gqeberha hiding in a ceiling in a house in Bloemendal.
The man was a suspect in the murder of Alviro Potberg, 27, who was shot and found lying next to a boundary wall in the street at the intersection of Baatjies and Fitchard Roads in Helenvale, according to News24.
