Cape Town — Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) MEC for Social Development, Mbali Shinga, was involved in a car crash on Monday, where she was lucky to escape unharmed.
According to her office, Shinga was involved in an accident while travelling to work on Monday. The MEC’s official motorcade was stuck in traffic when a speeding car rammed into it. Social Development spokesperson, Thuba Vilane, said she was unharmed and had resumed work soon after the accident.
“She escaped unharmed. She’s currently in the office continuing with the business of the day. She’s in good spirits, continuing with her work. She just extends the message of appreciation to everyone who was involved, especially the protectors,” said Vilane.
