Durban — The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Department of Community Safety has urged the residents of Mpangeni to help find the suspects who murdered former TV sports presenter Jeffrey Zikhali.
Zikhali was tragically shot and killed in Mpengeni after his car was hijacked. It is alleged that Zikhali was on his way to his ancestral home when he was stopped, shot and then thrown out of his vehicle before suspects fled the scene with his car.
“The MEC is concerned with the incidents of carjacking in the province and the levels of murders that are happening across it,” EWN reported MEC spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane as saying.

He reiterated the importance of active citizenry in the prevention and combating of criminality in our communities.
KZN police spokesperson Col Robert Netshiunda said police in Mpangeni opened a case of murder for investigation after the body of a 59-year-old man was found lying on the R102 road near the Ndabayakhe off-ramp on Friday.
