Cape Town – South African-born tech billionaire Elon Musk has called for President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action, accusing the EFF party of “openly pushing for genocide of white people in South Africa”.
“They are openly pushing for genocide of white people in South Africa.
His post received criticism from people who argued that there was no genocide in the country and accused him of spreading misinformation.
The controversy surrounding the EFF’s leader Julius Malema escalated when the Democratic Alliance (DA) announced its intention to file charges against both Malema and the African National Congress (ANC) government at the United Nations Human Rights Council.

This decision came after Malema chanted “Kill the boer, kill the farmer” at the EFF’s 10th anniversary celebrations in Johannesburg.
In response to the ongoing debate, some South Africans called for the removal of “Die Stem” from the national anthem. They believed the song was a hate crime and a reminder of South Africa’s apartheid past.
However, others defended “Die Stem” as still being part of the national anthem, while condemning “Kill the Boer” for inciting hate and violence.
Malema himself responded to Musk, suggesting he was talking nonsense.
“O bolela mas*pa (you are talking sh**),” he said.

Responding to Steenhuisen‘s announcement of action against him, the EFF leader challenged his rival.
“Bring it on, small boy. We are not the ANC,” he said.
