Cape Town – Western Cape police have reportedly confirmed that kidnapped Ukrainian national, Anichka Penev, has been found.
According to News24, Penev, 35, who was kidnapped more than a week ago in Ipswich Road, Blue Downs, was found on Friday night.
“She has been safely reunited with her loved ones,” the report quoted police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi as saying.
Circumstances surrounding her kidnapping were still under investigation, police said.
Video footage showed, on the day of her kidnapping, that Penev was boxed in by two cars.

Reports said at the time that shots were fired. The kidnappers grabbed her as she attempted to run away and dragged her into one of the cars. They then drove off, leaving the woman’s Audi R8 on the road.
