Cape Town – An earth tremor was reported in various parts of Johannesburg and the West Rand around 21:25 on Wednesday night.
Gauteng Weather shared the information on Twitter.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but social media users shared their experiences.

The Council for Geoscience (CGS) has not yet confirmed the tremor’s magnitude.
This is the second tremor in as many months, with a previous one in August and another in June, suggesting an increase in seismic activity in Gauteng.
