The family said Koko’s death marks the end of an era as they mourn the loss of two pillars who contributed to the community and the country. The funeral service is set to hold a funeral service on Wednesday 15 May at 7am and she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at Zandfontein Cemetery.
“During this time of bereavement, we extend our deepest condolences to the Motsuenyane family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and grace. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all,” said Manale said.
According to EWN, Koko was named in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) as a victim of politically motivated crimes. In a TRC report, she was listed as party of a group of people who tried to organise a community meeting to address police brutality. She later lost her house in a petrol bomb attack by members of the Bophuthatswana police in Winterveld.
