Cape Town – A Durban resident, who bagged more than R74 million in the Powerball Plus jackpot from Tuesday night’s draw, has reportedly claimed his winnings.
On Wednesday, National Lottery Ithuba announced that a Durban resident had won R74 million but had reportedly not claimed their jackpot winning
The winner bagged R74 155 218.50 and reportedly planned to report for work after making his claim on Thursday.
According to IOL, the father of four had no intentions of quitting his job in sales.
“It still has to sink in,” the new multimillionaire was quoted as saying.
The winner had gone to check his ticket in one of the shops when he was told he needed to go to an Ithuba office.

“But at that time I didn’t know I won the jackpot, I had a busy day on Wednesday, so I didn’t check again.
“Later that evening I checked the lottery website and found out I won the jackpot” the report quoted him.
He plans to buy new house and a new car even though he already drives a “nice car”, the report said.
