The report said that the boyfriend, who was contacted by the family on January 27, told the family that Rosisang stormed off after they had a fight.
According to IOL, the family was only able to identify Bakwalanya by her tattoos due to the state of her body.
Kagiso said his two older sisters went to Mafikeng to identify the body after someone on social media alerted them about a woman’s body that had been found in the bushes by the police, the report said.
He said as a family, they didn’t want to speculate but rather allow the police investigation to take its course, the report said
“We are not sure, but it seems like she was beaten before she was burnt.
“We want police to conduct a thorough investigation without us interfering, we want justice for Rorisang and we want police to do their job,” the report quoted Moepetsane as saying.
