Cape Town – Renowned South African DJ Black Coffee, also known as Nkosinathi Maphumulo, is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a travel accident on his way to a performance in Argentina.
The Grammy award-winning artist was involved in a severe incident during a flight to Mar del Plata.
His representatives have issued a statement on his social media pages, confirming that he is undergoing medical treatment and requesting privacy and patience during his recovery.

“We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by supportive family and team. In respect of his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans.
“Despite the challenges presented, Black Coffee is optimistic and recovering well. He looks forward to being back with you all very soon.”
