CapeTown – A 41-year-old man has been arrested for fatally stabbing his wife during a domestic dispute in Limpopo.
The incident occurred in their home in Lwamondo, Khumbe village.
Responding to a complaint, the police found the woman with a fatal stab wound, certifying her dead at the scene.
“Upon their arrival together with the paramedics, the victim was found lying in a pool of blood with an open wound. She was certified dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations then revealed that the woman was stabbed with a sharp object by her husband after the two engaged into a heated argument.
“The 41-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. He is expected to appear before Vuwani Magistrate’s Court in due course, police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said.
The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo condemned the incident, emphasising the seriousness of domestic violence and urging individuals to seek support.
