Cape Town – Security guards on duty at the Middelburg Provincial Hospital in Mpumalanga were reportedly shot with rubber bullets by guards from another company on Thursday.
According to News24, the incident occurred between 14:00 and 15:00.
The security guards allegedly came in a taxi and started shooting at the hospital guards.
One of the guards on duty sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the hospital and was discharged later on the same day.

IOL reported that five suspects aged between 26 and 40 had since been arrested.
The motive for the shooting remained unclear.
The suspects were facing charges of discharging a firearm in the public space and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They were expected to soon appear at the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court, said the report.
