Cape Town – Three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Hillary Gardee reportedly appeared in the Mbombela Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
According to IOL, Sipho Lawrence Mkatshwa, Philemon Lukhele and Mduzuzi Gama were charged with murder, rape, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping and possession of illegal firearms.
All three abandoned their bail application after the state requested that they be denied bail due to the seriousness of the crime.
The accused in the Hillary Gardee case are Sipho Mkhatshwa, Philemon Lukhele and Mduduzi Nkala

Instead, they requested that they be given medical attention, saying they were allegedly tortured while in custody.
Hillary went missing on April 29 after a shopping trip to a Spar near her home in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
She was found dead in a field outside Mbombela, Mpumalanga on May 3 with a gun wound on her head.
Hillary was laid to rest on Saturday.
The case was rescheduled to June 9.
