Cape Town – A law student, Tsireledzo Wanga Mphaphuli, 20, was helping out for the day by driving Bolt for the first time in his life when he suffered the unfortunate fate of being robbed, stabbed and killed by the clients he had picked up.
Mphaphuli was a law student who matriculated last year from the Redford House in The Hills Estate.
Speaking to TimesLive, his aunt Lucky Mulaudzi said that he had just gotten his driver’s license last year.
“He had only got his driver’s licence last year. He is not a Bolt driver. He was just helping for the day, and it was his first time driving Bolt. It would have been more understandable if he died in a car accident, but instead he was stabbed on this day,” she was quoted as saying.

She said that Mphaphuli’s mother was struggling to deal with the sudden death of her only son.
“She is taking this very hard. We cried so much the past week. She was a bit better yesterday and finally managed to speak. We are even tired now from the crying. We are saving our energy for the funeral this Saturday in Venda,” Mulaudzi reportedly said.
According to The South African police spokesperson, Sam Shibambo said that the passenger had requested a ride from Garsfontein to Eersterust in the east of Pretoria.
Mphaphuli reportedly drove them to their destination in Eersterust when the suspects attacked him, robbed him and stabbed him in the upper body.
Arrests have yet to be made as the investigations into the 20-year-old victim’s murder continue as SAPS launched a manhunt in an attempt to find the murderers.
