Cape Town – Police have launched a manhunt for three gunmen who stormed the Mogoboya Clinic in Maake, Limpopo on Saturday, pretending to have brought a patient who had consumed poison.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the suspects fled with the 45-year-old security officer’s firearm.
“It is further alleged that the security guard opened the gate for the suspects who entered the yard while pointing a firearm at him and instructed him to surrender his firearm,” said Ledwaba.
Ledwaba said the suspects then fled the scene in a white Toyota bakkie without registration numbers.
Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called upon the community to help the police apprehend the robbers.
