Cape Town – In a shocking and grisly discovery, the lifeless body of 42-year-old Wayne Henderson was found covered in a duvet on the R50, approximately 5km from Standerton.
The gruesome find was made by a farm worker in the early hours of Tuesday, November 7, 2023, around 03:00.
Henderson, believed to have been abducted in Hercules, Pretoria in Gauteng, was discovered not far from his missing vehicle, a grey Renault Sandero, which had been reported as such by his father in Hercules, police said in a statement.
“On investigation, blood stains were found in the boot of the vehicle, a grey Renault Sandero.
“The deceased was found with his neck sliced opened and a stab wound on his head.
“Mr Henderson was positively identified by a family member at about 07:30 on the same day,” police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said.
The circumstances surrounding the murder remain unclear.
