Cape Town – The widow of Ekurhuleni Metro Police officer Constable Banele Sikhosana has been arrested for allegedly arranging his murder.
Accordinng to reports, Sikhosana, 32, was shot dead by two gunmen outside his spaza shop in Kwa-Thema on February 7.
His private firearm was also stolen.
The 42-year-old widow was dramatically arrested a day after her husband’s memorial service, where she was seen grieving.

Her arrest followed the confession of two alleged hitmen, who claimed she masterminded the killing.
Reports suggest she had previously attempted to poison Sikhosana before he was ultimately gunned down.

The couple had been together for five years and shared a two-year-old child.
The widow is set to appear in the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
