Johannesburg — Johannesburg was hit with another explosion story after local authorities reported an explosion happening in Kempton Park.
According to eNCA, emergency services said a 48kg gas cylinder containing ammonia exploded at a warehouse. A man sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital. The cause of incident is being investigated.

Ekurhuleni disaster and emergency management services spokesperson William Ntladi confirmed the incident on Friday afternoon. He said the incident happened at a warehouse at about 10.34am, SowetanLIVE reported.
“One adult male sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital. [The] cause of incident is being investigated. It happened in an enclosed and contained area and no roads are affected,” Ntladi said.

Johannesburg CBD was hit with a devastating explosion in Bree Street that left one dead and dozens injured. The explosion caused a sinkhole in the road and overturned numerous vehicles, with a total of 37 vehicles, mostly minibus taxis, being damaged.
IOL reported that authorities are still investigating the cause of the Bree Street, Johannesburg, explosion. There were reports that the city was in need of experts who could help to figure out the cause of the explosion.
