Cape Town – The South African Weather Service (Saws) has not issued major weather warnings as a cold front is expected on Friday.
Gauteng will see a significant temperature drop, signaling the approach of winter and prompting residents to prepare for colder weather.
Provincial forecasts for Tuesday, 29 April, include:
- Gauteng: Partly cloudy, cool, with a cold snap expected by Friday.
- Mpumalanga: Cloudy, cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
- Limpopo: Cloudy in the east, partly cloudy elsewhere, with isolated showers.
- North West: Fine, cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy.
- Free State: Morning fog in the east, otherwise fine and cool to warm.
- Northern Cape: Morning fog along the coast, partly cloudy, cool to warm.
- Western Cape: Morning fog, cloudy to partly cloudy, with light rain in southern areas by evening.
- Eastern Cape (Western half): Fine, warm, becoming partly cloudy and cooler along the coast.
- Eastern Cape (Eastern half): Fine, warm, partly cloudy in some areas.
- KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog, partly cloudy, with scattered showers in the north-east.
