Cape Town – A 29-year-old man is reportedly expected to appear in the Durban specialised commercial crimes court for allegedly forging his matric certificate and altering his pass marks in order to gain admission to medical school in 2010.
The crime was discovered while the suspect was in his fourth year of medical school, according to Times Live.
He was arrested after a case of fraud was reported to the Umbilo police station for further investigation.

“It is alleged that the suspect forged his matric certificate and altered the pass marks in order to gain admission at the university in 2010. Whilst he was doing his fourth year at medical school, it was discovered that he used a fraudulent certificate,
According to IOL, the case was provisionally withdrawn and taken over by the Hawks’ Durban Serious Commercial Crime Investigation.
The suspect has been summoned to appear in court on May 31, 2022, the report said.
