Cape Town – Police have reportedly arrested four people in connection with the murder of eThekwini ward councillor, Sunil Brijmohan.
The suspects are expected to appear at the uMlazi Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, IOL reported
The report said the 46-year-old father of two was shot dead in October in Amanzimtoti.
A video of the incident went viral on social media, the report said.
In the video two men are seen walking up to Brigmohan and one of them takes out a firearm, shoots him, and then they briskly walk away while the victim fell to the ground.

Brijmohan was reportedly walking in Cato Crescent when he was shot in the head by the two suspects in an apparent hit, reported TimesLIVE.
“Sunil Brijmohan stood for what he believed in and he made great strides in assisting the poor with food parcels and comfort,” the report quoted Aiden David, chairperson of the Isipingo Community Policing Forum, as saying.
Meanwhile, author and former anti-apartheid activist Patric Mellet alleged that the shooting appeared to be the work of a political hit squad.
In a separate incident, an ANC councillor and two other people were gunned down in Piet Retief on Friday, reports News24.
The report said councillor, Sbonelo Mthembu, 36, his mechanic and another man were shot in Mkhondo, shortly after Mthembu and the mechanic were dropped off by a friend.
Police said three armed men appeared on the private premises and started firing multiple shots at the councillor and also fatally shot the friend who was still inside his bakkie and the mechanic.
