Cape Town – A former police officer reportedly appeared in court on Wednesday in connection with the Krugersdorp gang rape case that shook the nation.
In July, gunmen forced their way into a music video shoot and raped eight young women from the cast in Krugersdorp’s West Village.
The gang attacked the crew and cast while they were offloading equipment and preparing the set.
Even the men were stripped naked and robbed of their personal belongings.

The former warrant officer was found in possession of property belonging to one of the gang rape victims, TimesLIVE reported.
According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Brenda Muridili, the woman was arrested for theft and defeating the ends of justice, the report said.
“It was discovered by the investigating officer that the woman had in her possession property that belongs to one of the victims of rape,” the report quoted Muridili as saying.
Since the tragic ordeal, more than 80 suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
