Cape Town – Police reportedly arrested a fifth suspect in connection with Hillary Gardee’s murder on Tuesday.
According to IOL, the suspect, believed to be in his mid-thirties, was linked to Hillary’s cellphone and laptop.
Police in Mpumalanga detained him for questioning on Sunday, and on Tuesday, he was charged with defeating the ends of justice.
The suspect was scheduled to appear in Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
“We have indeed said from the beginning that we are not going to leave any stone unturned and all the people or all the suspects who have been involved in this particular case are going to be arrested,” EWN quoted police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala as saying.

The arrest came after police apprehended a fourth suspect on Thursday.
The two suspects will be charged alongside Philemon Lukhele, Sipho Lawrence Mkatshwa, and Albert Mduzuzi Gama, who are facing charges of murder, rape, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, and illegal firearm possession.
Hillary went missing on April 29 after a shopping trip to a Spar near her home in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
She was found dead in a field outside Mbombela, Mpumalanga on May 3 with a gun wound on her head.
She was the daughter of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) former secretary general Godrich Gardee.
